Walnut Lofts Rejuvenates Denver’s Old Benjamin Moore Building
Walnut Lofts fits right into the Ballpark neighborhood, an area of Denver known for its innovative rehabilitation of historic buildings. Located on the northeast corner of Broadway, Walnut Lofts was once the Benjamin Moore Building. It was constructed in 1921 and has undergone many additions through 1947. At one time, the building was a paint factory, but more recently it has been used for office space, storage and distribution of Benjamin Moore paint products.
OZ, an architecture firm, recently made plans to convert the 65,000 square foot building into 49 entry-level lofts. Their creative plans involved laying out the floors in a sunburst pattern in order to allow units more windows. They aimed to creat a light and airy atmosphere for the units.
Walnut Lofts also puts you right in Denver’s Ballpark neighborhood, home to restaurants, bars, shops, and of course Coors Field. This is one of the most exciting Denver neighborhoods with lots to do.
