Six more foot police added to patrol downtown Denver
The effort to help reviatalize the downtown core is a great step toward increasing the Denver urban living experience
Great job to the Downtown Denver Partnership and their "revitalize the core" task force for adding foot patrol policemen downtown.
Two often, the urban city neighborhoods get a bad rap from any kind of lawlessnes, whether its gang violence or petty theft. Often they just say it happened in LoDo, which riles me to no end.
The addition of 6 officers will make a big diffenence on the streets. Its an effort to expand the one-on-one experience – it should work wonders, and the timing was exceptional.
Lots of people want to live in the downtown area, and we are seeing renewed energy in the urban neighborhoods. Residential real estate sales have become strong, as though raging back from the difficult winter. People moving into the area appreciate the enhanced safety and security the extra patrols provide.
Thanks, and congratulations to the DDP and their task force. We appreciate your efforts.
