Rebecca Crosby, owner or the successful public relations firm Crosby Partners and former executive director of Denver’s Historic Lower Downtown District, has announced a career move and joined Kentwood City Properties, located in lower downtown.
Crosby has more than 20 years of experience in public relations, marketing and special events. Prior to opening Crosby Partners in 1991, she created and served as executive director for the District, Denver’s Historic Lower Downtown, now known as the LoDo District. During her tenure as director, Rebecca earned nine awards for The District’s newsletter, Directions.
Crosby, who has represented clients such as Starbucks Coffee Company, Rock Bottom Restaurants and the National Western Stock Show, will continue to operate under the business name of Crosby Partners, while building her new career as a high-end residential broker.
Notes Jim Theye, co-owner of Kentwood City Properties: “Rebecca helped build the LoDo neighborhood. Her passion for the city and knowledge of the market will yield great results for clients of Kentwood City.”
Crosby joins a team of 30 brokers specializing in Denver’s city center. Founder Jim Theye and Dee Chirafisi started their brokerage house in 1999 to tap into the downtown market, then in its infancy stages. Today, their brokers are among the highest individual producers in the city, according to the Denver Board of Realtors. Theye notes that the office closed more than $200 million in sales last year.
“Kentwood City was a natural evolution for my career, encompassing all my talents and passions,” notes Crosby. “I was ecstatic for the opportunity. They are the number one brokerage firm in my book.”
Crosby has been a member of the Denver community for over 25 years. She has developed and implemented marketing and fundraising strategies for such prestigious cultural organizations as the Denver Film Society, acting as liaison with its board members, and individual, foundation and corporate donors. She also spends her extra time volunteering on the marketing committee for the Alliance Franchise.
Kentwood City Properties, LLC was formed in 1999 as the newest member of the nationally known Kentwood Company to specialize in central Denver properties. The office located at 1660 17th Street in lower downtown is comprised of 30 full-time realtors representing residential buyers, sellers and developers.
