Downtown Children’s Playground provides welcome amenity to downtown residents and visitors

Recent groundbreatking creates excitement in lower downtown Denver

Lower downtown Denver is about to receive a wonderful new amenity in the downtown Children’s playground.  The playground has been in the works for several years, and has been pushed through by the Greenway Foundation, Councilwoman Judy Montero, and LoDoNA, the LoDo area residents neighborhood association.

Now all that LoDo and downtown needs is a school nearby.  Mayor Hickenlooper comments that "drawing families downtown is critical for making downtown a parter of the larger Denver community."

Other recent amenities to be found downtown include several groceries, new parks, bike path improvements, and light rail.  A new Dog Park is slated for Riverfront Park.
