Denver’s Civic Center a hot topic!

Architect Daniel Libeskind's designs due in September - but it needs attention now!

The Civic Center park is the center of attention in downtown Denver, and we can hardly wait to see what Libeskind comes up with for a design.  Meanwhile, plenty of ideas have been proposed to enhance the assemblage of architecture and landscape that exists today.  Some have proposed sinking Broadway under the park to create a grass mall, while others imagine a "green ribbon" of trees and canopys to create a flexible framework of shady spots within the current park.   Others propose sinking Colfax below Broadway to enliven the green space.

The Rocky interview several local landscape architects and designers to see what they felt were the most important ideas to include.  Check out their findings at the link provided.
