Thanks Ken!
I serve as President of LoDo District, Inc. (LoDo
District), and I am married to one of the Mayoral appointees to the Lower Downtown Design
Demolition and Review Board (LDDDRB), and I manage a company of about 35
fabulous full-time Real Estate Professionals in LoDo across from Union Station, and everyone I talk to is shouting praise for
Ken Schroeppel and his blog site about Denver infill
projects.
Thanks also to Westword for their recent article entitled Designs on Denver
(Westword, June 8-14, 2006). The Westword Editorial staff interviewed Ken
to get the skinny on the tall towers that are sprouting up in our long-despised
parking lots throughout downtown.
Great comment Ken about the five to ten story projects that will eventually
heal our downtown area from the ravages of the parking lot. And you are
correct that removing the parking lots will eventually allow us to connect our
downtown with our neighborhoods and become more pedestrian friendly.
This is a tenant of the LoDo District and critical to the long-term success
of our mixed-use lower downtown neighborhood, and this vision is supported by
the people at Kentwood City
Properties. We all work daily toward maintaining the pedestrian scale
of the neighborhood, and support the retail and urban experience of LoDo.
Thanks again Ken Schroeppel and http://www.denverinfill.com/ for helping all of us keep this
vision in focus.
