Cherry Creek real estate is HOT!
By Jan Nelsen, Kentwood City Properties
Jan Nelsen has sold high-end properties all over Denver. These are her comments on the recent developments in Cherry Creek:
I’ve been showing property recently all over Cherry Creek. Talk about a sizzling hot real estate market!
The latest buzz is the NorthCreek building being developed by Phillip Anchutz’ son. Many of his cronnies have bought places in the building. They’ve just increased the building one extra floor because of demand. Most of the larger units will be sold as core & shell. Units on the second and third floors will run around $700 per square foot for core & shell and up around $900 per square foot for finished units. All with views of the Janus Building. The building isn’t really about views, it’s about the location and quality. It will be a premier location and I know it will be state-of-the-art. They are looking at some really high-end retail as well; I heard high-end shops like Hermes.
A unit over at One Polo Creek with absolutely amazing views overlooking the Denver Country Club went under contract at over $4,000,000. Brokers around town have been buzzing about that!
Another new building is coming out of the ground on the (triangle) corner of Alameda, Steele and . It’s quite a busy intersection and sort of loud. Their prices will be around $500 – $600 per square foot. Penthouses seem to be spoken for. It will be an alternative to Portico with pretty traditional finishes. Views are great and the Cherry Creek Bike Path and some green grass areas are just across the street.

Nordstrom will be opening soon at The Cherry Creek Mall and Sketch (where Adde Brewster’s Bistro was) opened a few months ago. They have a killer blue-cheeseburger and amazing fries. Good wine too. Yummy!!!!!
