Some concerned that character of Cherry Creek neighborhood is changing

Add the store Boulderdash to the list of retailers that have announced plans to close their stores as lease rates continue to rise and properties change hands.  Boulderdash joins long-time Cherry Creek North tenants Cook’sMart, Limeade, Tattered Cover, and the Sporting Woman as recently closed outlets. 

The character and scale of the neighborhood is in the process of change.  Low-rise buildings are being purchased and raised to make way for taller developments offering high-end housing above ground-floor retail.

Cherry Creek continues to be one of Denver’s hottest real estate markets, both in terms of residential and commercial sales.  Christian Anschutz, Randy Nichols, and out of state developers see Cherry Creek North as a unique commercial development opportunity, while luxury condos sell for the highest prices ever seen in Denver.

Its a unique market, and one that will continue to grow.
