Four new units at the Museum Residences are for sale with Kentwood City Properties

Think you missed the grand opening of Denver’s cultural icon – the Hamilton addition of the Denver Art Museum? Well here is your opportunity at a second chance! Kentwood City Properties has announced 4 prime units at the Museum Residences for sale.

Many of the desirable, 56-units within the Daniel Libeskind masterpiece were snatched up some two years before the opening by art lovers and urbanites alike.

Now, with the area buzzing with excitement, owners have made some of the best units available – prime corner units with dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto the new wing. Each morning is a grand opening, as the windows reveal the various installations that surround Denver’s new architectural gem.

Available units range from 1,620 to 2,209 square feet and range in price from $999,000 to $1.350 million. All unique in floor plan, the contemporary, angular design of the units provide the perfect complement to the Daniel Libeskind-designed wing of the Denver Art Museum, just steps away from the residences.

To add to the resident’s art experience, the Accessories Plus-furnished units are being shown to include one of the region’s up and coming artists, Boulder’s Jason Thielke. His contemporary, urban-style sketches are not only works of art, but so are the units themselves.

Luxury, art, location.

And amenities galore. Terraces, a private elevator to unique residences, secured parking and finishes of the highest caliber. Not enough? A bistro and wine bar on the ground floor. In addition, a professionally landscaped urban garden awaits residents on the top floor; complete with kitchen and baths adding to the ease of outdoor entertaining while overlooking the Rockies and the Denver skyline.

Real Estate Market information tracking the showings on our current listings.

Real Estate Market information tracking the showings on our current listings.

We are presenting an update of our weekly showings information below. This is helpful information when evaluating the local marketplace.

The market in central Denver has been soft lately but seems to be improving. As a company, we were up a full 40% in total 2006 sales when compared to 2005 – a remarkable trend in an otherwise down or static marketplace.

Currently, our highest concentration of listings fall into categories priced between $300,000 and $750,000. As of today, we are receiving the most showings on properties in the $300,000 – $399,999 price points. We are also receiving a high volume of showings for many of the other higher price points.

Please watch for updates on a weekly basis.

Open House Marks New Entrance, Expansion

Open House Marks New Entrance, Expansion

We are very excited about our new front entrance. After being under construction for over 2 months our office is now looking better than ever. We have a fantastic street apeal and are much easier to access! This is an article published about our new success! Check it out!

(Denver, Colo. – January 25, 2007) Kentwood City, along with nearly 1,000 of their clients and friends, celebrated a different kind of opening last week – a door opening.

The brokerage firm has long been located at 1660 17th Street. After growing to nearly 40 brokers this year, Kentwood purchased the entire first floor of the building in July 2006. Subsequently, managing broker Jim Theye launched a significant renovation project that’s led to a much larger office and a new entrance on Wynkoop. Facing Union Station, the new entrance opens the door, and the possibilities, to the new development of Denver’s hub.

“The Wynkoop side of our building has long been ignored,” said Theye. “Now with Union Station’s redevelopment, it will be the center of LoDo activity and we’re excited to be a part of that.”

In addition to the new doorway, Kentwood City added 3600 square feet to its first floor offices, adding room for their growing team. The firm added ten brokers in 2006, and saw 40 percent growth in total closings, bucking the downturn trend in the overall Denver housing market.

To celebrate, Kentwood rolled out the red carpet – literally. The Wynkoop Street entrance was given its very own VIP treatment, complete with flashbulbs and spotlights visible far and wide. And the real estate celebrities of Denver came out to celebrate.

Kentwood City has long been associated with Denver’s most high-profile real estate projects, and 2006 was no different. Roger Pecsok of Continuum Partners, part of the team selected to redevelop Union Station, attended the gala on Thursday.

”We have a long working relationship with Kentwood City, said Pecsok. “This new space is not only beautiful but its physical presence in the heart of LODO is symbolic of Kentwood’s position in the marketplace.”

Also in attendance were the great diversity of Kentwood clients ranging from multi-unit developers, to long-time clients, to first time homebuyers. Theye estimated about 1000 attended the opening.

“As a new broker, I was thrilled to see hundreds of past and current clients at the opening,” noted Mike Rivera, who joined the Kentwood City team with wife Melody in October. “It’s exciting for us to see the energy and excitement around the new offices, and the continued growth of LoDo.”

“The urban center of our city is growing,” noted Theye. “Our office had a record year despite some gloominess in the market.”

Theye, also past president of LoDo District, Inc., made clear that he is committed to the growth of his firm as well as the growth of the downtown community. With their larger offices, Jim and his team created a (NUMBER) square foot board room which will be made available to neighborhood and community groups.

“Our brokers share a vision for LoDo’s renaissance, reflecting a mix of retail, restaurants, residences and business. With the revitalization of Union Station, we believe this building will continue to serve as an important entryway into lower Downtown, as it has since the birth of Denver.”

Architects Chris Shears of Shears Adkins and Jim Bothwell of Bothwell Davis George Architects collaborated on the redesign of the space.

Stunning Downtown Denver Water Tower lofts offer historical feel with all the modern amenities.

Stunning Downtown Denver Water Tower lofts offer historical feel with all the modern amenities.

Heavy wood timber beams and walls of exposed brick give this stunning loft a great historical feel. Designer colors and Venetian plaster walls create a warm, cozy and inviting atmosphere. The open and spacious floor plan flows with ease and is great for entertaining. The cook’s kitchen has absolute black slab granite, 42 inch maple cabinets, a large slab granite island and plenty of storage. Part of the Historic Warehouse Renovation, the loft also features a private balcony, beautiful hardwood floors, and one garage space was well as building amenities such as intercom controlled access and a fitness room.

Enjoy all this within walking distance of Lower Downtown nightlife and action.

WaterTower lofts residents can experience exciting city life in LoDo or ride the paths along the Platte River and Cherry Creek. There are even jogging trails through Commons Park.

Built during Denver’s Rail/Streetcar era in the late 1890s, WaterTower Lofts has provided warehouse space for a variety of businesses. In the early 1900s, the American Furniture Company began to use the building as a warehouse for their retail shops. This historical building offers a great mix of architectural drama, detail and character.
