Denver real estate sets records for price per foot

price per foot is a measure commonly used to measure value.

Downtown Denver and Cherry Creek neighborhoods are starting to set high marks for the price per foot paid for high end condos.

There have recently been sales in downtown Denver that exceeded $600 per foot for the first time.  These include sales at the Art House project.

Sales in Cherry Creek have exceeded $750 per foot for unique units with views, luxury finishes, and other exclusive ammenities.  Jan Nelsen of Kentwood City Properties sold that unit.

The new North Creek project in Cherry Creek will break these barriers, with asking prices reportedly between $700 and $800 per foot.

The Rapids, three townhome style condos on the Platte River are on sale for about $425 per foot with no interior provided.  These units will have 2 secured parking spaces but will be sold "core and shell" so that the buyers will need to build out their own interior.

I have seen casitas in Cabo San Lucas selling for $1200 per foot.  These sit on a golf course, and have all the amenities.

Recently in London, a 77 square foot former storage room sold, without electricity, for $335,000.  this sales price would calculate to about $4,340 per foot, which must be a record of some kind (I would hope!).
